WESTHOPE NEAR LEOMINSTER

Leominster 6 miles; Hereford 8 miles.

Westhope is a peaceful, rural village set amidst beautiful Herefordshire countryside, only 6 miles from Leominster. Located in the heart of the border countryside where England and Wales nudge each other along Offa's Dyke, the area is a haven for walking and cycling, and for discovering olde worlde country pubs. The half timbered town of Leominster, which dates back to the 7th Century, possesses some fine examples of architecture such as the Priory Church, along with a wide variety of shops, cafes and pubs. Also within easy reach is medieval Ludlow, famous for its 13th Century castle, architecture and wonderful pubs, restaurants and shops. With Hereford just a short drive away, with its magnificent cathedral, Mappa Mundi world map and chained library, this is a great location for a relaxing break in picturesque surroundings.

The cottage was right next to a very large apple orchard, which was excellent for walks with our two dogs. We were in a very quiet peaceful area, but only a fifteen minute drive to Leominster with lots of places to visit very close by. The cottage also had a great amount of historical character.
Mrs Briggs, North Shields, Tyne and Wear
